Dear Rachel,

Good work girl! my comments were they were too small and i have to squint my eyes so i can recognize whos who also i think we should edit the photo by adding the name of the person under the photo coz some i can remember their name others i dont really know na.

Rachel,
How about some photos of our Alma Mater like where we used to go. hope that will be your next project. I hope the school wouldn’t mind if one day you plan to take a photo of our school. bye
E.

4. krv for SJA'82 - October 3, 2007

Hi Ellen,
Noted, on both counts. We’ll have a bigger slideshow next time. The window of this site is small, so I adjusted the width of the slide show to it. I’ve actually been considering using another layout (or ‘template’ as its called on WordPress), but havent got the time as it takes a lot to redo and test.

Rest assured by the time we get all photos in, that a bigger and more detailed show will be produced. Thanks and regards!

RE: “they were too small and i have to squint my eyes so i can recognize whos who”, sign of age na ba yan? :p

Miss those high school days….sayang i missed our reunion too. My husband(naks naman) Perrins and I will be visiting Manila on Jan 24- Feb 9..hopefully makita ko kayo….

7. "BONG" del mundo - December 15, 2007

Ahhhhhhhh! Memories, memories,memories…..Wish we all could go back and do it again, but then time just would not let us do that….. Anyways, it’s nice to see everyone still alive and kicking, TO ALL CLASSMATES till we gather around again to share and feel those good old times!!!

8. louie - January 3, 2008

Batiin natin si Bong ng “Maligayang Kaarawan!!! Today is his birthday.

9. Mike Balboa - January 25, 2008

Seeing all of you on the pictures posted above made my hair stand. It brought back memories of many moons ago, Mrs. Arindaeng, Mr. Jesus Javier, Mrs. Latayan, my all time favorite high school teacher Mrs. Zorilla and two other characters who, back then, were my personal enemies, Mr. Bumatay and oh yes, Sgt. Mercado.

Apart from the understandable weight gain we all acquired through the years not to mention the white hair, you all look pretty much the same. I can remember Bong del Mundo’s crew cut look and his unique laughter, Dante Santiago’s “tapyas” somewhere in his forehead, Louie Reyes’s nerdy look, Wilfred Cu’s thick eye glasses, Alvin Sevilla who was then regarded as ” Tanding ” and his mean red Toyota Corona that had a spoiler that looked like a garbage scoop. I was never a lady’s man in those days but I do remember most, if not all the ladies I happen to have been classmates with.

Should there ever be another reunion on the brew, please let me know. I will not miss it for the world. Really good to see you guys.

11. Xeres (Cherie) de Keyser-DiNItto - February 8, 2008

Hello all,
What a blast from the past ! Seeing all these names from my childhood and trying to match my memories of them with the pictures . . . Louie – you haven’t changed and was that Bong del Mundo in one of the pics?

I went to SJA from prep to 6th grade then had to transfer to a more affordable school. I have fond memories (and not so fond ones) of my days there. Remember having to bring in those flowers for the chapel and having to split them up so that those who didn’t have any would not get in trouble? Tony Joson(sp?) and I used to race copying notes down. And I remember Gerry Chuidian (did I spell that right?) trying to teach me how to draw Josie and the Pussycats.

I haven’t been home in a long time and I had always wanted to show off the school to my daughter when we went back to visit. But it’s hard to do that when the school’s not in session : ) – we always scheduled our visits for Xmas.

Funny how I found this page – I was looking for ghost stories about SJA – like that day in 6th grade. I wonder if any of you guys remember that. I believe Alvin Sevilla and I were in the same class that year – maybe Mike Balboa also?

Anyway, I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me – I’ve always wondered what happened to the kids I used to hang out with – Maryrose Tajanlangit, Lilian Manto, Enrique Enriquez – ok I didn’t really hang out with him but he was really nice to me (and I had the hugest crush on him)…

Take care all…

12. louie - February 9, 2008

Hi Xeres,

so glad to hear from you and what a way to find our site. anyway, so where are you based now. yes, you’re right, that’s bong del mundo in the pics with me. Why? did he bullied you before? just kidding.

Maryrose & Lilian Manto got accelerated to 1st year HS, while the rest of us went to Grade 7, so they were 1 year ahead of us. we lost contact with them when we step into HS. Last i heard, Enrique Enriquez is now in the States.

Anyway, keep in touch and try to send us some pics of you and your family.

13. Michaelangelo Balboa - February 12, 2008

Hi Xeres,
I kinda remember you to be that little girl who always sat up front almost across the teacher all the time. You were never the kind that got into trouble but was always an easy prey with big bullies like JayJay Tantoco and his cohort Steve Eva.

The only ghost that time, and a mighty big one at that, was Mrs. Gil. I can remember how everyone all of a sudden kept quiet each time she passes by, always a horrorful moment to bump into her specially in a dark corridor.

And oh yes, Enrique Enriquez, the dude who barfed so badly behind me I can still recall how it smells like.

Yep, a blast from the past it is!

14. Cecile Castaneda-Gil - March 14, 2008

Hello Everyone! I don’t know if anyone even remembers me. I can remember some of your names but my very best friend that time was Regina Nilo…Has anyone heard from her?

I’m here in the States, too, married and my last name is Gil! What a coincidence!

Hope to hear from somebody who can remember me…

15. Steve Eva - March 26, 2008

Hello to everyone!
Glad to see SJA 82 people are actively in touch with everybody. How I wish I can join you guys and be able to talk about the good ole days. I am finally back in my adopted home in Jacksonville, Florida. In case you guys happen to land somewhere close by, don’t forget to get in touch.
Steve Eva

18. Xeres de Keyser-DiNitto - April 11, 2008

Hey everyone!

I just watched the video clips of your reunion on you-tube! I love technology!
Bong del Mundo – you still look the same! Hehe. . .

By the way, if there are any kind souls out there who have the time to scan some old photos from the scrapbooks, I would really appreciate getting some copies. I didn’t take any with me when I moved – I would really like to show my family some pictures of me when I was still “payatot”.

Take care all !

20. Alex A. Perlas - April 17, 2008

Hello Xeres,

This is Alex. I’m an old friend and a former classmate from the years at F. Roosevelt H.S. in San Juan, Metro Manila. I have been a “balikbayan” recently visiting my relatives in Tarlac and Cavite. My cousin took me to show Manila and places like and San Juan/Greenhills and Cubao. Maraming magandang alaala sa pinaglakihan. Anyways, I’m glad to know about you and that you’re fine. Write back if you can. Take care.

21. Xeres de Keyser-DiNitto - April 18, 2008

This site is just amazing! I’ve reconnected with people I haven’t heard from in decades.

Alexander Perlas! Of course I remember you! You were my #1 rival. I heard that you had gone back home at least once since I moved here in 1989. How are the rest of the siblings – I actually googled Emerald’s name once figuring it’s so unique I would find him for sure.
It is great to hear from you!

Thanks Batch ‘82! Keep up the good work!

22. Steve Eva - June 2, 2008
