A Digg post today resurrected a Star Wars image in its static, .jpg incarnation as can be seen below. The title of the image is “How Star Wars Changed the World”.
I remember this as a Flash page in Wired.com that came out in its digital magazine on May 2005 as Issue no. 13.05.
It brought me back to one of the scans I did of the back pages of our Scrapbook which, unfortunately, has since been detached from the main book after years of storage. Below is the inside back cover of Scrapbook ‘82, or what is the right-hand page of the spread.
Here, we see rayguns and bulky computer systems, Baday as Luke Skywalker, Esther as possibly R2D2, Henry as Chewbacca, Steve plugging something into Reggie, and a handful of other Star Wars characters from earlier episodes. Pretty amusing collage of ideas and character portrayals.
I wonder who in our batch illustrated this spread. Can anyone help me with the artist?
