As of today, I received three responses so far: Chili S., Fitz F. and Lanie S. Chili is busy and will be getting married in August. As such, Chili won’t be able to make it in November but would’ve loved to be at the gathering. Check out http://chiliandperrins.weddingwindow.com and leave her a message. (EDIT: Buti na lang, Chili is not ‘Lea’…sorry, Chili, couldn’t help it). Fitz is coming home to spend Pinoy Christmas in December, so November is not an option. Lanie has replied but there’s no direct response yet to the questions posed in the email. Locations of our friends (all in the US) are California (Chili), Washington State (Lanie) and New York (Fitz). Any other batchmates responding soon?
On another note, I came up with something today during some free time which I think is kind of cool: a Batch logo (see graphic above). The use for this logo has not been determined yet, but I’m thinking if there’s any item that may need some kind of identity (should some be produced for the reunion) an identifying graphic would be nice to have, don’t you think? Feedbacks are welcome.

Hi K! This is Gerry Chuidian. If you dont remember, I used to be part of the trio – Arthur Martinez, John Lolarga and I. Anyways, I would like to let you know that I am glad to finally hear from you all. I never did graduate with you guys ( having not passed Pilipino 1,2,3,4… till now… hehehe), but would be interested in seeing most of you when this reunion does come to fruition. Nice work on the logo and whatever this eletronic venue is. Regards and hope to hear from all of you…

wonderful logo! creatively done! it must not be wasted. i want a remembrance of it which we can keep even after the reunion. maybe we can have a t-shirt with collar done with your logo and wear it during the reunion! probably a green and white tshirt? just a thought!

Annie, I was also thinking of a mug for it, actually. But a shirt is nice to have. What about a batch scrub suit top, green for the girls, khaki for the boys? :p
a mug would be great. while we’re sipping coffee during our break……. naks! sja82!

Ditto all the positive comments about the logo. You guys have been wonderful and thank you for keeping the SJA’82 spirit alive. Wish I can be there for the reunion.
nicely done, definitely we can make use of this. maybe its about time to move on to suggestion on how we will celebrate the 25th year.

i went to my mom’s high school reunion. they held at their school in time for the foundation day. they had a presentation and they all wore the same color to identify them as one batch. they also had a booth to sell some stuff and proceeds from which were donated to a charity institution of their choice. classmates who can’t make it also donated for the reunion specially those from abroad! kaya marami silang nakuhang dollars for the charity inst. ( jusy hinting : lanie, fitz, chili, ellen “,).
but just the same, a simple get together will be nice!
anybody heard from yolanda, florenda, ebu, frenandez twins. charlotte, ester amor, lorenzo luis, dana, nette, tingka, adelaida, risa, roberto d., gilbert, ismael…..everybody!? we like to hear from you all!
Will be more than happy to pitch in “dollars” and whatever amount you raise be used for a charitable cause. I’m all for that. I’ve also requested for Rachel to check into a possible non-profit organization based in the Philippines. Would be nice if all of you can talk or meet with the contact person – his name is Father Galias; tel. no. is 011639198985325. Then you decide for yourselves if this is something you would like to pursue. His letter dated June 3rd indicated his urgent plea for assistance in rebuilding a schoolhouse that’s ready to collapse. This school is a mission school; hence, unlike private schools, the school offers free education for all. He also runs seminaries, food line and an orphanage aside from the school mentioned above. Please let me know what your thoughts are.
Annie – I’d like to order scrubs from you when I get home and I’ll give you the style and design. I could also e-mail you the current ones we’re using and see if you can find a similar fabric there. Sounds like you have other miscellaneous items that you can offer. Would very much like to do business with you.

hey guys, we have to step things up, its already July and November is fast approaching. We have to decide have we want to achieve for the reunion. For me, a simple get-together with whats left of batch 82 and a gawad-kalinga voluntary service of sort will be great. (these are just my suggestions). Feel free to suggest any thing viable you can think of. Anyway, goodluck to all of us and hope to see you all at the reunion.

Wow, a lot of the names in my past come to enrich me again. hahaha! I will try to get arthur, and/or John. I am not in contact with them anymore. I know arthur still lives in their old san juan residence. will try to visit him sometime. Asa for John, I have no idea how to get in touch with him. Though I could try to reach him thru his half siblings in Dagupan. I bumped into them in a school reunion of a friend I regurlarly visit. Wilfred, please say Hi to Oscar(goldman) for me. Annie, nice to here from you! Sana we can all meet soon… woohooo!!!!
PS. K, yeah, I met Buddy during Dante’s B-day. Anyway, I got his number and I am sure we’ll be hearing more from him too!
Karissa, OUTSTANDING job on the logo. It would be a great idea for mugs and shirts. Count me in for it. Hello to everyone from the Sunny and Hurricane striken Pensacola Florida. Hi, everyone! Well, i really hope that the reunion would push through. As Louie have said, it’s already July and November is just a few months away. We’d better have some plans working by now. It would also be great to do some charitable work as what my family does every Christmas season. It just gives you a different high. Keep me updated for the plans…
